Summary
The last sentence of Tractatus Logico is: "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent." The unspeakable is not inscrutable but includes: (1) The existence and boundary of language, world and logic; (2) The value of ethics and art. The talkable domain has an important connection with the unspeakable domain. Ludwig Wittgenstein once said that this book contains two parts: logic (language) and ethics (art). The former is the written part and the latter is the unwritten part. This explanation supports the understanding of the integration of logic and ethics, and its pivot is the following three distinctions: (1) revealing oneself and revealing others; (2) everyday perspective and eternal perspective; (3) pure meaninglessness and transcendent meaninglessness. Speaking of the unspeakable will inevitably lead to meaninglessness. Therefore, we should only clarify what can be said, and keep silent about what cannot be said. Silence is not doing nothing, but a gateway to values and art
