Summary
What is future art? As an extension of contemporary art, future art is relative to past (traditional) art. The latter is the craft/labor of human beings, the so-called “techne” by the Greeks, which is characterized by imitation, skill, and antiquity; while the former is the art of the technological world created by new humans, namely technological humans, with such features as weak-natural, conceptual and futuristic characteristics. This lecture starts with the six basic concepts of "Anthropocene", "Unbounded", "Concept", "Singularity", "Resistance" and "Futurity", attempts to explore the possible meaning of future art, and provides a guiding rule for the unpredictable "future art".
