Summary
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Ludwig Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, which the Chinese version, as the first foreign language version, was translated and published by Mr. Zhang Shenfu in 1927-1928. In 1920, Bertrand Russell came to China to give a series of lectures such as "Analysis of Mind" and "Analysis of Matter", and caused a Russell Fever. As an assistant to Friedrich Schlick, the leader of the Vienna School, Mr. Hong Qian participated in the logical positivism movement and returned to China to teach and cultivate the talents of analytic philosophy. Chinese academia in the early 20th century benefited greatly from analytic philosophy research. 100 years later, analytic philosophy has become a prominent study in the world, and China's analytic philosophy research is gradually keeping up with the pace of the world, and several delightful results have emerged. However, domestic academic circles still have some biased or even wrong understanding of what analytic philosophy is, which undoubtedly hindered the development of analytic philosophy in China. Given this, we especially invite several experts who have studied analytic philosophy for many years and have a deep understanding of its purport to have a dialogue on the problems, methods and significance of analytic philosophy in the history of philosophical development. We hope to take this opportunity to clarify misunderstandings, show the charm of analytic philosophy, and attract more young talents who are interested in philosophy to devote themselves to the torrent of analytic philosophy research.
